About Amy
I am a screenwriter and script reader. I am in my 2nd year reading the Austin Film Festival's competitions, and just earned an M.F.A. in Film-Television with an emphasis on Script & Screenwriting. I have written and produced short scripts of my own. While in grad school I was a Production Intern for Jpixx, a video-led digital marketing agency specializing in narrative and message-driven content, a Video Production Intern at Studio Center, and a Television Production Intern at WHRO Public Media. Currently I work on various projects within media, such as editing videos, conducting interviews for podcasts, and floor directing for studio shoots. I do provide script consultation and strongly encourage it for those considering producing their works. I read features, shorts, television pilots, and scripted fiction podcast series. I read both dramas and comedies.
Before turning to screenwriting/film I worked in theatre, specifically in educational theatre and Theatre for Young Audiences. I continue to teach and direct students as a freelancer.
Unique traits: I work exceptionally well with children and can make almost any script or story understandable to them in order to get the best performance out of the youngest of actors.
