I am a US Army veteran. I worked for the VA Healthcare System. I developed educational programs and conducted group and individual psychotherapy in a Substance Abuse Program for returning veterans. I performed these duties on a multi-disciplinary team.
Throughout my VA career, I answered congressional and constituent correspondence. I wrote for a newsletter staff and drafted responses to internal investigations.
Upon leaving this profession, I fell in love with writing. Since 2011, I have pursued my dream of writing for movies and TV.
I now have a daily habit of writing and have obtained several writing resources which enabled continuous improvement of my craft.
I first worked with a film company in Sidney for over two years of developing skills.
I completed the ProSeries and the Masters Screenwriting Certification course from ScreenwritingU. This was an intensive two-year program that has given a clear path to elevating my writing and putting me in touch with numerous working producers in Hollywood.
I developed a thriller TV series with a development executive. These experiences kept me busy and are stretched me as a writer.
I am in contact with many optioned writers and producers around the world. Joining S32 has significantly improved chances of learning and meeting people who can turn scripts into a film.
S32 has fanned the flames of passion in the pursuit of accomplishing a dream of being paid to do what I love.
I attended a Robert McKee Seminar in New York, and it was intrigued by McKee's keen insight into the art of storytelling.
I attended a pitch session in LA last fall which has led to a collaboration on a new project I will complete and pitch next spring.
I would love to share a cup of java with any S32 members. Happy writing.
Unique traits: I am an Army veteran. I am also a past chapter president of the US Military Vets Motorcycle Club.
HELLBOUND HEROES Thriller The war isn’t over when WWII veterans return home and are framed for murder by a corrupt Sheriff and a cowardly politician; they form America's first motorcycle club to set things right.
