Though he doesn’t have any Sioux blood running through his veins,
Charlie 2-Shirt grew up on the Fort Peck, Sioux and Assiniboine
Indian Reservation in Montana. While fishing one summer day, a Native
American friend declared he was sick and tired of the two shirts, one blue
and one pink that Charlie kept wearing to school, and if he kept wearing
those shirts, his new name was going to be “Charlie 2-Shirt.”
So, Charlie is very proud to adopt, in homage to a great guy and friend, the
pen name Charlie 2-Shirt.
Unique traits: I believe my unique background or trait is that I had the GREAT opportunity to grow up on the Sioux and Assiniboine Indian Reservation in Montana. It was an incredible childhood where both Native Americans and other nationalities live and work together. As impressive children and wistful teenagers, we'd go camping and fishing at our adventure land, Wolf Creek. Over the evening campfire, while the dark shadows of the flames flickered across our wistful faces we'd tell our own imaginative stores about the mythical Indian Devil and his haunting of the reservation. To this day, I still believe he exists. On another note, I finished my first novel, Vampire Jacques, The Last Templar. It's the first novel in the Rebirth of the Knights Templar Trilogy and has received excellent reviews from Kirkus Indie.
