About Christine

I am a Scottish screenwriter whose ambition and drive is to bring fresh stories to a wide audience that will inspire, enlighten and entertain. A serial screenplay competition bridesmaid, I write, drama, comedy, horror and sometimes horror comedy. At the moment I'm working on two pilot scripts to develop further.

My inspirations for writing come from my desire to tell stories about strong independent woman who are not necessary superheroes, vampire slayers, assassins or alluring femme fatales, but rather have realistic flaws we can all relate to. Don’t get me wrong, I love superheroes, vampire slayers and assassins. Joss Whedon has been a huge influence on my work (I still mourn over Firefly), want to write the next “The Cabin in the Woods” and I love to see characters like Black Widow hold their own in a male dominated world. I love to write uncompromising women in very real situations, who face their fears and find their strength through grit, determination, humility, and in one instance driving a snow plough whilst wielding a shovel.

I'd love to work and collaborate with like minded people from around the globe so please stop by and say hello.

Unique traits: Determined, resilient, sharp witted, good sense of humour. Likes hats. Can also eat a large jar of Nutella chocolate spread in one sitting.
