Author/Artist/Director Chuck Staley was born in Memphis, Tennessee, and spent his youth growing up in funeral homes in small towns scattered across the South. After high school he studied art at the Memphis Academy of Arts and engineering at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.
Following a stint in the Army Signal Corps in Europe, Staley went to work in television broadcasting, first in Memphis and then in Hollywood, directing thousands of hours of music videos, commercials and TV programs of all sorts, including six years with CBS News at Television City, during which time he taught writing at Los Angeles City College. Following his own advice to his students, "Write about what you know," he wrote Southern Planter and Murder on the Six O'Clock News.
Now he is concentrating on creating his concept art that has a flair for the dramatic and marketing his novels, which may be found on Amazon.
Staley lives in Los Angeles with his daughter Anastasia, his granddaughter Nicole and their large furry dog named Katie.
