About Durand

MBA – Film Producing –

I produced my first short film in 2018 and am currently completing a second short dramatic film. As a content creator there are five projects I'm working on including three television series – one of which has a series bible and the initial draft of its pilot. In 2012 I earned a Master of Arts in Drama (Dramatic Literature) from San Francisco State University and I am a member of SAG-AFTRA and have certifications from SAFD and DAI in Stage Combat. As an actor I appeared in over 50 productions (stage) and have performed in over a dozen indie films. I have 5 directorial credits for stage and have coordinated violence etc. on over 45 films. Since 1998 I have served as the resident Fight Choreographer for African-American Shakespeare Co. and was the resident Fight Choreographer for Hillbarn Theatre Company for seven years. During this period I worked on over one hundred and sixty-five fight or stunt coordinating projects. As an actor, I was a founding member of New City Theatre of Berkeley (in the '70s), an associate artist with Zona de Teatro in Santa Fe ('80s), and co-founder and Producing Artistic Director of Luminarias Theatre Co. in the '90s. As an educator, I have taught acting and directed at St. John's College, the Mission Cultural Center, New College of California, and taught Stage Combat and related courses at the Academy of Art University for over a decade.

Currently living in San Francisco, and focusing on creating and producing a variety of film projects. Please see the website or contact me for more information.
