People turn to the storyteller to escape, even if for a brief moment, the everyday mundanity of life. I love being a part of the creation process that provides someone laughter or a glimpse at what's possible in the imagination. Or, even an excuse to release one's own tears as they cry along with a character who has been so perfectly brought to life. That great escape into a story is what we all need sometimes. I love being a storyteller. I'm an actress, an artist, a voice and a creator.

Stolen: An Experimental Short Film

Unique traits: My laughter is lilting, genuine - My voice is instantly recognizable. My eyes are kind and forgiving. In essence, I am a debutante in love with life. I eat slowly, much to the chagrin of my closest friends. And, I am teased without fail about my dramatic reactions to things heard and seen. I can't hide a thing - my eyes say it all.

Easter (2020 - 2023)
Film (short) by HNC Easter The 2020 Pandemic has bled over into 2021 and the corona virus has continued to spread and mutate. By Global Mandate, 90% of all jobs are designated work from home. Self-isolation is the norm. Randomly assigned to the role of Work From Home 9-1-1 operator, a woman weighed down by her circumstances is desperately trying to find the light in the tunnel. This project was conceived, written and filmed by HeavenNezCree during the height of the 2020 pandemic. It was done mostly in physical isolation, auditioning, directing and communicating with actors via Zoom and other video chat services.

by HNC "Stolen" Stolen is an experimental short film that is artist HeavenNezCree's contribution to the discussions around human trafficking since the dawn of time. As an art piece, it is meant to be viewed as one would view an exhibition in a gallery or museum, every frame a painting. This experimental film raises awareness and brings to life the stories of those affected by the devastating crime of human trafficking
