About Jessie

After earning degrees in media communications and Spanish from North Carolina State University in 2004, I worked in Raleigh, North Carolina as an assistant editor, camera operator, and production assistant at Guerrilla Productions. In 2005, I made the decision to move to beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. Once I arrived, I worked as a full-time editor and producer on multiple nationally televised shows at Litton Entertainment. I also served as a freelance editor for multiple Charleston-area production companies. In 2011, I was hired by Hollywood SC Studios to direct, produce, and edit Rescue Vet. The 13 episode docu-reality TV series that aired on Animal Planet and Nat Geo Mundo in over 100 countries. That same year, I started my own video production company, Palmetto Coast Media. Through my company, I began offering videography services for weddings, events, businesses, nonprofits, and much more. Since that time, I have expanded my portfolio even further. One of the most notable highlights was in 2013, when I co-created, co-produced, directed, filmed, and edited 13 episodes of the docu-reality TV series Give Me Shelter. This program was filmed locally and featured the Charleston-based Pet Helpers Animal Shelter. The series aired on Nat Geo Wild, Nat Geo Mundo, Hulu, and Animal Planet in over 100 countries. In the years that followed, I filmed more documentaries, commercials, and promo videos for local businesses. In 2018, we were thrilled to earn the honor of “Best Locally Produced Video” from the Charleston City Paper. Additionally, in the spring of 2020, I launched a second entity, Palmetto Wedding Films, to provide documentary style videography for weddings, engagements, elopements, rehearsal dinners and anniversaries.
