She decided to take the job that the Company offered her in exchange for a meager salary and a small shack where she lives with her five children. In this way, she accepted a life of precariousness without electricity, running water, or sanitation. This is how thousands of people are trapped in a system that denies them all basic services and strips them of their civil rights, keeping them in a life of misery.
