Jill Bennett

Growing up in rural Indiana, Jill didn't start acting until the age of 16. By 18, she had won a state speech title and attended Bradley University on a theatre scholarship. Jill first gained notoriety when she starred in the action flick In Her Line of Fire, alongside Mariel Hemingway. Since then, she's stayed busy on stage, screen and television. She’s starred in ten films, including indie hits X’s and O’s and The Pleasure Drivers, become a series regular on five series, including Here TV's Dante's Cove, guest-starred on numerous series, including Logo's Rick & Steve, and co-executive produced and starred in two of her own award-winning series, We Have to Stop Now, and Second Shot.

Not contented with traditional media, Jill has maintained an active online presence since 2008 when she co-created the popular video blog We're Getting Nowhere, which lead to a development deal with Logo. Since then, she has created two other video blogs - The Violet Underground and The Gloves Are Off, both for .

Her online ventures include a series regular role in the hit web series, 3Way which won Curve Magazine's Web Series Pioneer Award in 2010. In the same year, Curve Magazine also awarded We Have to Stop Now Best Web Series. We Have To Stop Now (shot for less than 3K) was the first web series ever picked up for distribution by Wolfe Releasing.

She was nominated in four categories and won two Audience Choice Awards at Logo's NewNowNext Awards, was voted Shewired's Woman of the Year, and Autostraddle's Celesbian of the Year. Last year, three of her projects won Curve Magazine Awards and she was nominated in four separate categories.

In 2013, Jill will launch her newest venture - Second Shot, an independent comedy co-created and written by Nancylee Myatt (3way, South of Nowhere), Dara Nai (), and comedian Claudia Cogan (Last Comic Standing.) She also guest starred in two new web series, Breaking Fat and Kittens In a Cage.

When she’s not online, Jill enjoys watching football, playing poker and caring for her herd of cats.
