Born in Hamilton, Ohio, Earl "LeeBird" Hayes is a U.S. Navy veteran of the Beirut conflict in the early 80's. Stationed onboard the U.S.S. SAMPSON DDG-10 out of Mayport, Fla. Upon his discharge from the service in 1984, Earl began developing his career in charity work and event planning. By Holding several events for the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Association, he was able to raise a significant amount of money, over the span of 10 years, to be donated to the M.D.A. telethon. Working with the M.D.A. enabled Earl to learn valuable event planning skills that he would utilize later on. From 1995 till 2005, Earl was a semi-truck driver, (Steel hauler), that hauled local freight in and around the sw Ohio area. Earl Graduated with high honors from the 'OHIO/ ILLINOIS CENTERS FOR BROADCASTING' and with this new education, Earl has formed a fully Licensed Internet Radio Station: Honor Veterans Radio. Supporting our Troops, Veterans and all First Responders. Honor Veterans Radio is a family friendly station, that Plays a mixture of Classic/ Southern Rock and Pop Music as well as Country. Live Call-in talk shows are scheduled for the future on the station, that will focus on providing education and information for everyone to learn about and be connected to the correct resources to deal with a variety of issues that face our returning injured war hero's.
Earl and his wife Kathryn now reside in Oak Lawn, a suburb of S.W. Chicago. He Loves Chicago, and now calls it home.
Walking on the Beach, and along the Lake Front along the Great Lake Michigan is one of Earl's many passions. Earl is an accomplished Lead/ Rhythm guitar player and has played in several classic/ southern rock bands over the years.
