About Loknarr

I am an aspiring Model, and amateur Photographer, with the intention of re-inventing myself :)

I would love to learn to work with and along side Set Builders. I am experienced with all the power and hand tools of the carpenter and scaffolder trade.

I have a recent background in construction, as an Apprentice Carpenter/Scaffolder, with experience in residential wood frame structures, commercial concrete work, mainly working with concrete reinforcement aka Rebar, and drilling of concrete, commercial demolition and renovation, and civil work on bridges. My industrial experience is mainly in the area of industrial scaffolding, where I built scaffold for the other trades to service oil refineries in northern Alberta. I am just a few hours shy of my 1st Yr Industrial Scaffolder designation, but have many more hours than my 2nd Yr Apprentice Carpenter designation as I am married to a Journeyman Carpenter and have worked along side him for many years.

What do I think of wearing a Carpenter's apron with 18 pounds worth of tools, and knocking around in steel toed boots, and a hardhat? Wielding power tools like an air nailer, and circular saw? Where I could nail my foot to the floor, or take off my work boot(and foot) with the circular saw? I LOVE IT~!

I would love to be cast as an extra in small parts where a genuine Native American woman is needed, preferably a part where I'm SEEN AND NOT HEARD~! (can't forget lines that way) Could I act? I bet I could, but only if my life depended on it..haha~!!

I absolutely love being in the air, I am a Student Pilot, and I'm also crazy about piston/propeller driven aircraft, if it flies, I want in it.

My Volunteer work includes recent past experience working in air search and rescue aka CASARA (Civil Air Search and Rescue Assoc) headed by, and funded by the Canadian military. I hold a lifetime designation as a Certified Spotter with Canada's military.
Training on the Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport/cargo plane will always be one of the most memorable and exhilarating events in my life. At present I need re-certification for my civilian Spotter designation, which is just a few hours in the air, plus a few hours in the classroom.

I hold dual citizenship in Canada and the Republic of Ireland, therefore, I can work and, or live anywhere in the European Union with just my Irish Passport.

Unique traits: I have very long hair for a mature woman. I refuse to cave in to societal pressures to cut my hair because it is NOT "age appropriate"~!! In a day when long hair is sought after and obtained through "hair extensions" I'm asked to cut mine?? Ludicrous! It's THREE long, and it will stay three feet long, or four feet, or however long I decide to grow it.. It is just one of the defining features of my Native American identity.
