Ms.Christopher Callen , aptly named for the Patron St. of Travelers, has appeared in roles opposite Johnny Depp, Benicio Del Toro, Treat Williams, Bruce Willis, John Travolta, Scott Bakula, Victor Garber and more.

Ms. Callen has starred in 12 shows on Broadway, include Tony Award winners" Lend Me A Tenor "( Maria), "Over Here!"(Maggie)," Fiddler on the Roof" (Hodel), "1776" (Martha), and "The Desert Song" (Margot). Christopher has also appeared on every major Stage in LA - Ahmanson, Mark Taper, Pantages, Geffen, and Pasadena Playhouse, etc.

TV audiences will recognize the exceptionally versatile Ms.Callen from her many Regular and Recurring lead roles on "One Life to Live "( Dr. Gail Dexter), "The Young and the Restless" ( Ellie), Ed Asners' series "Bronx Zoo"( Mrs. Callahan) and "Anything for Money '(Street -Improv Actress), as well as many Guest Star appearances such as (Mrs. Gunderson) on the Nickleodeon series "The Haunted Hathaways".

Film buffs have acclaimed her work in both dramatic and comedic films, most recently appearing in daring Independents, such as Burning Shadow (Mrs. Rattisburg) with Julie Delphy (2020 ) to blockbusters such as Lionsgate "Deep Water3-Cage Dive "(Josh &Jeff’s Mom) ( 2018). She can also be found on the Internet series as the lead's Mom and opposite Eric Roberts in "Date of Honor ( 2019) and in 2020 Netflix will be releasing another feature in which she stars - "Choinces", . In the last 2 years Ms. Callen has starred in over 10 movies and 20 commercials.

But despite a vibrant acting/singing career, spanning 30 years plus , Christopher is often best loved and revered as the mouthy "Circus-Circus Cocktail Waitress" in Terry Gilliam's iconic cult classic - Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas! Ms. Callen's ability to transform and virtually disappear into her diverse characters has earned her the title; "America's Tracy Ullman.” (see her “15 Characters in 2 Minutes” on YouTube).

As a Writer - Ms. Callen has created published poetry, social media content and has written 3 screenplays - all in various states of development. Writing has always been part of her creative expression and she is excited to be a member of Stage 32 - for its outstanding programs and community.


Her current project is “Rose- The Story of Rose O”Neill." It is the true story of the forgotten , brilliant and beautiful Renaissance Woman (and inventor of the Kewpie Doll in 1913) who strove against all personal and professional hardships ,for herself and all women , to be fully recognized as artists. She rose from extreme poverty to billionaire status by age 23.

As a Producer - Ms. Callen helmed over 35 Theatre productions through her company - Heart of the Matter Productions -and has created 4 hit shows in Cabaret venues in NYC, LA and Tokyo. Currently developing a Cabaret show with the esteemed Broadway actress/singer Lynette DuPree - “ 2 Broads from Broadway” - it will be seen when Covid allows Cabaret gatherings again.

Christopher's honors include; Who’s Who in American Musical Theater, LAWeekly Humanitarian Theatre Award, GLAAD, Ovation, Backstage/Garland and Stage Scene Awards and Nominations. This "Country Girl” from tiny Rio Vista, Calif. is also a recognized visual artist, published poet/writer and motivational speaker/ and a speaker and representative for Citizens Commission on Human Rights.

Her hobbies include Urban Mushing with her Siberian Husky dog, learning Ukulele, and brushing up her Japanese and Spanish on the Duolingo app.
