About Pamela

Pam is excited to share some news! She's hard at work pitching her TV pilot "The Lucy Gray Agency" that she wrote with her sister, Anna-Lisa. The comedic 1/2 comedy placed in the semi-finals out of 2,000 scripts in the latest Screencraft Pilot Launch competition! It's about a couture seamstress who is pushed into early retirement, who retaliates by opening a rival agency, recruiting a quirky team of designers and models, out to prove they can rock the runway (and life) at any age and size!

"I love Lucy's character" says Pam. "She sips Absinthe from a hidden teaspoon, hangs out in a vintage Airstream trailer and is a clothing savant. She 'reads' people by what they wear. You can get the vibe of the show by looking at our Pinterest boards: The Lucy Gray Agency. If you know someone looking for a unique show in a world that one major broadcaster said, "we've never seen on TV before", please feel free to contact me. Thank you, Stage 32 community for your support!"

And now... back to the bio. Pam has written close to 3,000 host scripts for Knowledge Network TV, two TV pilots, a kick-ass female motorcycle road-trip movie called "Indian Summer", along with several short films. Her latest short, "Restoration", placed in the Top Ten at the Cannes screenwriting competition, won the Tribal screenwriting competition, was a finalist at the Austin Revolution Festival and a finalist at Berlin Cinefest. It also earned Pam and her writing partner a Canada Council grant to turn it into a feature, which they are working on now...with the help of gallons of coffee and boxes of Crunchie bars. She also recently heard that her short script "Scarlet", a modern take on "The Scarlet Letter", is now in the finals at the Canada Independent Film Festival.

In addition to her writing work, Pam owns the Vancouver sound studio SOUNDSWRITE, where she writes, voices and produces for clients around the world. As a ghostwriter, she crafts production notes and publicity materials for unit publicists in Vancouver and L.A. and in that capacity has written for more than thirty feature and TV publicity projects.

With a BA (Theatre/English) from the University of British Columbia and an honors degree in Broadcast from BCIT, Pam's goal is to sell her current projects and to work in the writer's room of a television series. She works well on her own but also LOVES collaborating with other creatives. She is currently on the board of BCIT Broadcast and a board member of Women in Film.

When she's not writing at home, Pam's writing in her trailer in the woods at a crazy Norwegian campground, full of eccentrics, just outside Vancouver, Canada.

Unique traits: Love motorcycles, schnauzers, camping and writing dialogue!
