Leighanne Zubovic

I have a background in theater, Improv, and theater sports. I started my own improv group in college while earning my business certificate. Around the same time I started doing voice-over acting in Northern California for Radio commercials, Corporate phone systems, information lines, and background sounds for various audio projects. I have many different characters that I do and a lot of experience both in SF and Los Angeles.

I began writing short stories, songs, and poetry in my teens. I have also written 2 books that tend to lean on the side of comedic horror. I guess it is an expression of my morbid sense of humor. All of these things as well as being in various Rock bands since a young age helped me when I began directing, producing, writing for, and hosting my own radio show for Community X and KOMX radio in 2005. A comedy hour full of sketches and mock commercials with celebrity guests as well who were forced to play games on the air, it was quite exciting.

In previous years I had also attended beauty school and recently decided to take that a step further into the realm of Special Effects. As a certified SPFX artist I specialize in characterization and the very creepy. I have experience working with prosthetic application, Third degree silicone, liquid latex, and body paints. I also do Beauty makeup for print, runway, or weddings. I have experience doing horror makeup including wounds and death realism. I especially love creating beautiful unique creatures or grotesque monsters.

Currently I am working on a couple projects. I am producing a live theater show to come out later in the year. I am working on a screenplay. I am going to be working at the San Diego comic con in 2015 and I have some interesting makeup shoots coming up. I am still available for projects and interested in collaborations.
