About Wendy

Wendy Parman is a professional singer/songwriter and actor working in the Chicago area for many years. After fronting a band for 10 years, Wendy has now returned to her theater roots, and is having a blast. Since re-starting her acting career a year ago this May, Wendy has appeared in several stage roles, two short films and a cabaret show debuting in June. She is currently in the process of creating a web series, a humorous and autobiographical look at her life as a voice teacher and middle aged divorcee. She teaches singing, acting, beginning piano, and hosts the Singer's Salon in Chicago, an ongoing workshop/open mic for singers of all genres.
Wendy has a B.F.A. in Theater/Voice from The University of Kansas and an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College Chicago.

Unique traits: Quirky and funny but able to play drama as well. Fragile and sensitive, yet strong. Strong physicality as an actor, emotional connection and, of course, strong and varied vocal work. Classically trained singer, experience in musical theater, cabaret, jazz, rock n roll, blues and country. Songwriter, poet, humorist.
