Alison graduated from UT Austin with a focus on producing and screenwriting. She lived in London, UK for 2.5 years and produced a short film (It's Not Custard, SXSW 2019) and worked on two feature films (Native, Prevenge). She now lives in Virginia and writes.
Her script, The Flashlight Farmer, was a Quarterfinalist for the Screencraft Fellowship, a Semi-Finalist for the Women in Film x Blacklist residency, a Quarterfinalist for Fresh Voices (2019), and received two 8s on The Blacklist. It tackles the rising suicide statistics in the rural dairy farming industry along with elder opioid abuse.
Her latest script, A Hitchhiker's Guides, has already received an 8 score on The Blacklist. It portrays the story of a Vietnam veteran recovering from PTSD and trying to understand the generational differences between him and his father all the while also hallucinating an eye-opening and hellish journey in the New Mexico desert.
With an eye to get representation and making screenwriting a career, she continues to write hard-hitting, social stories in her one-stoplight town.
Unique traits: Producer's brain for budget, detail, and feasibility with the creativity of a writer.
