So let me introduce myself. My name is David M. Raynor and I am a filmmaker. Just this year I have become an ACCTA member in five categories being director, producer, writer, editor and colourist. My latest short film is in consideration for an AACTA award 2019. I started making short films about six years ago and in the last five years I have made five short films which have won a total of 53 international awards. These awards won are including cast and crew. Personally, I have won 32 international awards and been nominated 8 times.
Just recently I was invited to speak about my latest film at Sundance 2018, and also the Cannes International Film Festival 2018. In October 2018 I sat on the jury for the 35th Bogota International film festival in Columbia. I was the only non-Colombian to sit on the jury. In the same month, late October, I was asked to sit on a panel, at a special event, with another five film makers at the American Film Market (AFM) held in Los Angeles, to talk about my latest film and upcoming projects.
This year, 2019, I was asked to Sundance and Cannes and I have been invited again to sit on a Panel of film makers at AFM, in Santa Monica (November), and also at the Toronto Film Market (September) to talk about my latest projects.
Also, this year two of my feature scripts won awards at the Los Angeles scriptwriting awards and the New York city screenplay awards.
In 2020 I will be directing and producing, along with two other producers, a feature film which is set for the international market, and we have another five projects on our slate.
In 2019 I started a new venture.We are developing a script, preproduction and production platform for the TV, film and advertising industry. It's now 2024 and we have the screenwriting platform available for users, and we are now moving forward and developing the production platform.
