A Brunei born - Sarawak bred Malaysian. born Bong Cheng Tzuu, 黄晨祖 on the 18th July 1980 at RIPAS hospital, Brunei, Bong moved back to Malaysia - Kuching, Sarawak at the age of 4 and 10 years later moved to Miri, Sarawak. Bong lead a life blending in and adapting into different culture and environment at a very young age. And with an almost endless curiosity, Bong would jump into every situation just to get the feel of it and to understand the meaning of life more. Bong strongly believes nothing is impossible until you believe its impossible.
Having the understanding that its impossible to experience and live the life of every different characters in reality or fiction, Bong starts to find interest in the art of acting at a very young age. Due to the lack of opportunity in Borneo, he has to diversify his attention into other fields. After engaging in more than 13 fields including Automotive, Sales, IT, Education, Construction, Marketing, Design, Human Resource, Business, MLM, Events, Laundry, Bakery, Chauffeur, Cultinary, Restaurant, Pubs.... etc.. Bong finally decide to take time off and Backpack Europe.Bong met Sandra, an animator for the classic British animation, Christmas Carol while traveling in Bath, UK and was inspired. Thinking even if he is not given the opportunity to act himself, he can be the creator of stories and bring his characters to life. Dwelling into the life of his characters in scripts feeling their lives. And so his trip was cut short and enrolled with Go Academy to persue a Diploma in 3D Animation. Having to support himself, Bong has to work in whatever he can grab. Mostly Event.
In March 2008, Bong 1st appeared on National TV(8TV) in Kan Cheong Kitchen Epd. 9 as a participant partnered with Kak Lela and under the watchful eyes of Phat Fabes & Rina Omar. Bong (Chef) and Kak Lela (Instructor) won the episode. In april 2008, Bong got his 1st movie break with London Filmmaker Studios' Astro Ria Telefilm, "WiraSiswi" as JC, one of the 3 robbers. Within the next 1 year, Bong landed another 26 roles in the film and drama industry both locally and internationally.
Bong got another big break in April 2009 when he was offered the main lead role in Jblockbuster's film, "Ramly At War Begins" by Juliane Block (Germany). Bong plays the role of Ah Quen, a loyal gang member who is caught between loyalty to the gang and saving his brother who betrayed the gang. Lots of Stunts and Action scenes involved which Bong performs himself.
Now, the Founder of Chaotic Baboons Films, an independent / Guerrilla Filmmaker, Bong has produced 2 short films (as of date Aug 2010) and is thirsty for more. Bong is looking to make more short films to gain more experience for his bigger project in the future.
