About Chad

Growing up on a steady diet of Star Wars, Godzilla, Dungeons & Dragons, Marvel comics, Pink Floyd, and Led Zepplin in a small Northern California town during the 70s and 80s, I got my start in the digital art movement of the early 90s as an album cover artist for dozens of American and European heavy metal rock acts. In the early 2000s, digital art gave way to fine art photography with a dark aesthetic, merging nerd culture with the rock music and erotica scenes of Los Angeles.

Shortly after, I discovered my love for filmmaking and moved into the world of music videos, directing for legendary musicians Berlin, Billy Idol and Slash.I also contributed cover art to best-selling YA novels “The Vampire Diaries”, “Secret Circle” and the dystopian smash-hit “The Hunger Games”. I eventually joined the film industry as a production designer, working on several high-concept genre films before directing my first feature film--2015’s “Strange Blood” for Bleiberg Entertainment.

More recently, I embraced the world of cinematography with experimental fashion films (2017's "Let the Devil In") and shorts (2021's "Azraelle" and "The Farm", 2023's "When the Shadows Yearn to Breathe").

I re-located from Los Angeles to Umeå, Sweden in 2021.
