Born and raised on a diet of genre cinema from an early age, Chris Bavota began his career in filmmaking in the art department. After many years working on other people's projects, he decided to join forces with nine like-minded filmmakers to form the collective Cinema Fabulon. Together they created short films, trailers, music videos and commercials.
In 2012, he co-wrote the award-winning short ATTACK OF THE BRAINSUCKER which won "Best Screenplay" at Mascara Popcorn and the Dark Carnival Film Festival.
He is currently developing the horror/comedy ZOMBONI, which will be his feature film debut as director.
Zomboni Comedy ⋄ Horror Laynie Robinson has an amazing slap shot, but witnessing her mother’s death has left her with a panic-inducing fear of the ice. When a Zamboni possessed by a vengeful spirit starts to terrorize the local arena, she’ll have to sharpen her blades and hit the ice in order to survive sudden death.
