Drama series like WHITE LOTUS, SUCCESSION, THE LAST OF US, LOVE & DEATH and countless others are dominating pop culture, receiving both audience and critical acclaim. Audiences are hungry for fresh quality drama ideas and all of these series need writers in their rooms.

Do you have an idea for a great drama television series? Then now is the time for you to commit, be held accountable and actually write your pilot script and this exclusive Stage 32 screenwriting lab is here to help you do just that.

Writing a world-class drama pilot script of your original idea is one of the most important things you can do to move your career forward. However, writing that pilot episode for your drama series is no easy achievement.

In this exclusive Stage 32 screenwriting lab, you will actually write the script for your pilot episode under expert guidance from a TV writer with vast experience. Guiding you through your writing process is accomplished television writer Cole Quirk, who most recently wrote on the hit series JUSTIFIED: CITY PRIMEVAL (FX). Before that, Cole worked in the writers's rooms of ZOEY'S EXTRAORDINARY PLAYLIST (NBC), SCREAM (MTV), RESURRECTION (ABC), THE 100 (CW), and CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (CBS). She also sold a murder mystery feature pitch to THE HALLMARK CHANNEL. Between shows Cole worked for a writer/producer under a development deal at SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT.

Over 10 interactive sessions, including one-on-one Zoom sessions with Cole, Cole will teach you everything you need to know to develop a marketable drama series and guide you through the writing process so you complete a draft of your pilot episode!

You will gain practical experience developing your story for television. Emphasis will be placed on studying dramatic structure, learning techniques that strengthen character development, and understanding the importance of collaboration with other writers when you land that coveted job in a writers' room. You will also learn how to assess the marketplace by determining what network and studio executives are looking for, as well as the best way to quickly and effectively pitch your idea, starting with crafting your logline.

Over the course of this highly interactive lab, you will be called upon to give feedback, receive notes, and actively participate in online class discussions. You will submit written works in progress for critiques as you go so you can hone your script throughout the process to completion.

You will walk away from this lab with a completed draft of your pilot script for your drama series in-hand and the knowledge of how to best shop it to prospective buyers.

"Writers need deadlines, without them we tend to put things off, so I'm thrilled to be able to guide Stage 32 students to finishing their pilot. I'm an active working writer in the entertainment industry and I'm going to share exactly how the business works, right now, and how to find your place in it. Let's get your story told." - Cole Quirk
