You are expected to be available (either in person or via video conference) for four to five development meetings in through 2025 leading up to production. These development meetings are used primarily for script notes, which are also expected to be addressed.

Most of the action should take place in a single location. As we will be shooting on a soundstage, the primary location should be an interior that can be designed and built.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Each script will be read by a panel of faculty collaborators. Final notifications will be made by October 30th 2024.

COMPENSATION:
The writer of the selected script will receive a $3000 honorarium. Half of which will be paid upfront, the second half will be paid after the conclusion of filming. There is also the possibility of an additional residency at MSU (travel/housing/and per diem provided) which would occur through dress rehearsals and filming (14 days in March/April 2026). If selected, MSU is granted the right to develop and film the script, make necessary alterations to the script throughout the development and production processes, and to submit the pilot to film festivals upon completion. You maintain primary commercial rights to the project if you want to develop it further or sell it after the pilot is submitted to festivals.
