Casting Call: Educational Medical Video Series - Examination Tutorial


Location: Production will be shot in the Miami, Florida area. 


Project: This video series aims to educate healthcare professionals on conducting thorough patient examinations, using realistic case studies. The series will focus on a mother and son recovering from a car accident, requiring comprehensive physical assessments and sample collection for both biometric and laboratory analysis purposes.
Target Audience: Healthcare professionals (Physicians, Nurses, Physician Assistants, etc.)


Roles:
- Florida Talent Only
- Non-Union
- Caucasian
- Height depends between 5'6 and 5'9.

• Jennifer [Patient/Mother]: (37-42 years old, any ethnicity) Fit and active, a former swimmer who still trains regularly. 


Recovering from a car accident involving back, spine, hip, and pelvic trauma. Must be comfortable portraying vulnerability and undergoing sensitive examinations on camera in a professional medical setting. 

• Ethan [Patient/Son]: (17-19 years old, any ethnicity) Athletic teenager, soccer player. Also recovering from the same car accident with similar injuries. Must be comfortable with a physical examination and providing various samples in a professional medical setting. He should display a range of emotions, from apprehension to reassurance.


Video Content:
The series will depict realistic patient encounters, including:
• Jennifer: Complete Annual physical examination, including a comprehensive female exam. 
• Ethan:  Complete Annual adolescent physical examination. 
• Requirements:
• All actors must be comfortable with medical terminology and procedures.
• Must be professional, reliable, and able to follow directions precisely.
• Prior acting experience preferred but not required for the physician role.
• Willingness to sign a release form for educational use of the footage.


Audition Information: If chosen to audition. Actors will be given the sides, and they will be required to send video recording. 


Compensation: $1,000 USD for Jennifer $800 USD for Ethan.


Please note: This video series requires actors who are comfortable portraying sensitive medical scenarios in a professional and educational context. The focus is on demonstrating proper examination techniques and patient care, and all scenes will be conducted with respect and dignity.
