When Mike decided to immerse himself fully in the process of filmmaking, he took on the not-so-typical work environment of long hours in creative development, production and promotion/exhibition of his films. He believes that film is a creative documentation of our time and because telling stories with moving images is one of the coolest jobs on this earth. Crazy enough to spend countless days in learning, unlearning and re-learning the art & craft of visual storytelling.
A freelance director/writer for film, television and advertising, this Filipino visual storyteller adapts to the changing landscape in mass communications. As an experienced independent filmmaker he steers creative direction to fulfill a collective goal. Not to be the “auteur” but learn to work with different teams and their skills. Working passionately with craftsmen who believe in his capacity and his vision.
