About Lauren
In high school, the one thing that motivated me to keep going was my affinity for live music. Concerts were something to always look forward to, given that I would buy tickets in advance each time. The more I attended concerts, the more my perspective changed - I became more entranced by the sound engineers in the back of the room, the lights dancing along the walls from the ceiling, and the way people transformed within the crowd once everything goes dark. As much as I tried to focus in on the stage, my eyes would always trail off...
Over time I grew more and more of an interest in how live performances were fully executed. So much so, that I decided to enroll in SAE Expression College to study sound for music, film, and video games. Although all aspects of sound interest me, I am most passionate about live sound. It is my dream to be apart of everything that goes on behind the scenes. In addition, I want to give to others what was given to me. Something that pushed me past my difficult years in high school: a safe environment and a sense of community where people of all backgrounds can enter a room to share one experience.
