Born in Dublin, Ireland in 1979, Mark has been around film all his life. As a child he grew up next door to award winning DP Robbie Ryan and his cousin producer Nick Ryan. With his first opportunity to work in the industry he landed the position of Office Production Assistant on the BBC series Ballykissangel at the age of 16. During college, where he studied Film and Television Production, he worked on productions for Paul Greengrass and Neil Jordan. After recording and releasing the album 'O' with Damien Rice, he moved to New York and studied Cinematography in NYU. He lives and works in Ireland as a freelance cameraman and screenwriter for the The Silent Service (War / Drama series), Spy (Spy / Thriller series), and Untitled North Korea Project (Thriller / Drama feature film).
