Hi there. I'm Lesley with an -ey. Recently, I've been acting and studying film production in my adopted hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. I'm originally from Massachusetts.
ACTING: I entered college as a Theater & Dance major but then found poetry and had to make a choice. Since moving to Pittsburgh a few years ago, however, I've had the opportunity to return to acting and I love it.
WRITING: I studied creative writing and, as one of the "Etiquette Grrls," coauthored two humorous etiquette books aimed at clueless 20-somethings. For several years I wrote a syndicated column for Scripps-Howard News Service. I have contributed to Town & Country, , and I have talked about body odor on national TV with Kathie Lee and Hoda. And they didn't give me any wine! RUDE. But I digress. Currently I am focused on screenwriting and am developing scripts for two shorts and a feature-length film.
MISC.: I was part of the team that launched a major travel website. I still consult on web content development and enjoy mentoring early-stage web companies. I travel as much as I can with my husband and kids. I like British TV shows way more than I should. I collect old scientific and pseudoscientific memorabilia.
Unique traits: • This feels HORRID to write, but I am, technically, a stage mom. My daughter (age 10) also acts professionally. If anyone is looking to cast a mother and child who genuinely look alike, let me know. • I can pull off a variety of period looks. Also vampires. Yay natural deathly pallor. • I can do an authentic New England accent (e.g., NOT "pahk the cah in Hahvahd Yahd," though I can go SuperSouthie if needed)... handy if you need a professor/lawyer/other snooty type. :) • Other accents: British RP, Dutch, Southern drawl, New York, French.
