Hi. I’m Liz. Television writing is my passion. I recently completed UCLA’s Professional Program in Writing for Television, and my television drama pilot DERAILED is currently a finalist for the Sundance Institute's Episodic Story Lab.
My most impressive piece of paper is a graduate degree from Oxford University. At Oxford, I studied the complex interrelationships between culture, nutrition, and population health. It led me to start two nonprofits – Full Circle Farm and Wild Child Freeschool – with a bold vision to improve children’s health by getting them outside in the sunshine and dirt. For over a decade, I have worked passionately toward this vision, serving in as a founder, Executive Director and communications professional.
The mental transition from seasoned nonprofit executive (Legitimate! Honorable!) to aspiring television writer (Frivolous! Impossible!) has been an enlightening inner journey. Saying “yes” to my creative desires has been liberating. It has given me an opportunity to see the world with new eyes. It has opened me to the incredible power of stories. Now, I apply the same dedication and drive I’ve used to build successful nonprofits to gain the skills, knowledge and creative rigor I need to honor the craft of episodic storytelling.
