Online , and in person meet ups are 2 totally dif things !!!! Just something quick on building your value, guys! Maybe it’s not your script—maybe other things are off. Get a nice haircut, invest in some good cologne, smile.... and for the ladies, a nice pair of heels ect . You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
I made a connection with a director because he was older and obviously wanted to fit in with the younger crowd. It made sense. After our meet-up, he texted me and asked, What brand was that hoodie you had on? Also, send me the script. My kids are gone, and I finally have time to give it a full read. So yeah, my value wasn’t in the script at first—he hadn’t even read it yet—but it was in something else.
What was it? A mutual exchange. I got what I wanted, and he got what he wanted. He read my script, introduced me to a ton of new connections invited me over to his kids birthday later that week , and what did i do ????
I built his confidence, made him feel cool again. Look in the mirror and say, Wow, I look amazing! No matter what industry , job field everybody gets something out of every transaction period . i no you guys are here for film so here is an example of where i learned this from in video form.

Great tips, Chase Cysco! Make the connection, build the relationship, and opportunities might follow. Don't look for the opportunities first.

I believe a match is a match. If it is the wrong vibe, it is the wrong tribe.
You're welcome, Chase Cysco. You're right. We have to figure out what our strengths and weaknesses are and come up with a game plan. I didn't have a game plan when I started screenwriting, and it hurt my career.
