we just produced a 51 minute documentary on Bluefin Tuna fishing.
I would like to ask you all if you have contacts regarding documentary acquisition that can evaluate our work.
A production, made without ideological prejudices, narrating an untold fishing story, leaving free rein to all the actors in this story: fishermen, shipowners, wholesalers, environmentalists, deep connoisseurs and lovers of the sea like Enzo Maiorca who opens our narration. The documentary involves practically the entire supply chain linked to bluefin tuna fishing with purse seine nets.
But the real protagonist is the tuna filmed in exclusive underwater images never seen before, in close-ups at water level, in all its power, charm and speed, in full awareness that we are telling the story of a fishing strictly regulated in all phases; from the capture process, to the transport to the fattening points on the farms.
Of course, much more can and must be done, starting with the control of illegal fishing which continues to be massive and devastating, unfortunately not only for large pelagic fish.
A serious attempt to balance the legitimate commercial objectives of those who live off fishing and the need to guarantee the conservation of the species.
