Every one knows about the difference between historical plays and docudrama. The writer of histprical plays may not be much committed to facts though they may include some actual events and people as well. So, the border between reality and fiction in such plays is blurred and the playwright is not questioned if they manipulate historical facts for dramatic license. Jean Anouilh’s Becket is a case in point.
My historical play The Inglorious Bastard after “Downfall” is about four tourists visiting the Nazi Party Rally Grounds in the summer of 2023 coming across a mysterious old man who is looking for Adolf. The tourists get involved in discovering the old man’s life and find shocking facts about his family history.
