Producing : How do you get into producing as an actor? by Jeff Fazakerley

I'm looking to get more into producing. I've been hired by a few different companies to organize their productions and direct them. I was also hired as a producer for a major arts festival in Naples, FL. However, most of these ventures are just start up companies and I feel like I need some more experience at the ground level. Where can I find such experience? If I don't have a degree in producing and theatre management am I screwed? I do have BA in Theatre Performance and Directing and an MFA in Acting with a directing concentration. Thoughts?
