Secrets And Lies

As I sit editing my new film 'What About Molly?', I'm starting to identify a few spots where I could've come a little stronger with certain story elements. One thing that stands out are my secrets and lies.

Remember, to build some drama and intrigue, lie to one of your characters and let your audience in on the secret. A good example would be an undercover cop infiltrating the mafia. The character lies to the mafia and we the audience are in on the secret. A simple technique, yet very powerful.

Do you have other simple tips and tricks? Give them a share in the comments as I'd love to hear them!
