My nonprofit is working on creating a National eDrama Festival for the K-5 crowd. "Drama" is mentioned 47 times in the new quasi-national standards, to be implemented in 2014. If you were introduced to theater in school and you are grateful, help me do that for thousands more students. The Common Core State Standards are a solid invitation, but we need to lend our expertise to make it happen. I had a series of adaptations of classic plays and board games published 26 years ago. My nonprofit is working to make these plays relevant to 21st century students and we need a little help. Here's what I need: actors in the New Haven area willing to donate a few hours to be voices in a Visual Radio Play in exchange for a credit; help with promotion; sponsorship; and endorsement. We also hope to use Google Plus Hangouts On Air to do live theater events for kids across the world. Next week, we're doing our second event with an actor. Kids would love to do live table readings with professional actors, interviews with anyone involved in theater, and get a live walk backstage guided by someone who knows their way (smart phone and G+ account needed). These Hangouts will be posted on our nonprofit YouTube Channel. There are many opportunities. Naturally, we're looking for grants and sponsors, so help with that would be awesome. Meanwhile, we're just going ahead and doing it! Our first play was LIFE IS A DREAM by Calderon de la Barca. Can you help us make this newsworthy? Thanks :)
