Now this is interesting reading, because I was talking with someone last weekend who is currently working with Fremantle and he said how dire things were for production companies in the UK and that a couple had gone under in the last week — and yet this news article seems to suggest we’ve entered some kind of golden age for the UK film industry:

In a competitive global market BBC iPlayer stands out as the home of distinctive British content – made here, authentically told and universally available to all.”
