An "Air Force" brat, although being born in a military base in Guam, the Air Force relocated his family to Colorado Springs in winter 1992, he was four years old. Raised in the city's southeastern neighborhood; he has lifelong career for film-making. Phipps discovered the purpose of the independent film when was in his early teens, thanks to the magazines Moviemaker and Filmmaker.
An graduate of Sierra High School, class of 2007. Phipps was a honor student and a manager the school's varsity football and boy's C-Squad basketball teams.
By the time he attended Pikes Peak Community College, where majored for Radio & Television, Phipps found the tools to become a filmmaker. For his video production class, he wrote and directed a three minute short film, "Energy Drink Lesson" in March 2010, which was shot in one night. The short film premiered at his college student film festival, despite it's a showcase for student films.
However, Phipps didn't time to focus on his film-making, due to his college studies. Phipps graduated for PPCC in the spring 2013, earning an Associates in radio & television. Throughout his post-college life, Phipps spent time volunteering for the Pikes Peak Library District shelving and stocking books. Volunteered from the fall of 2014 until April 2016, Phipps found work as a camera operator at the Colorado Springs Sky Sox, a local Triple-A minor league baseball team. After working at Sky Sox, Phipps worked as a sales/recovery assistant at Macy's, shortly after he found a full-time job working night shift at Goodwill.
Educated in the film arts and video production at Pikes Peak Community College. Self-studied screenwriting through the books, including the Screenwriters Bible.
Phipps currently developing his entry through Colorado's indie film renaissance around his hometown, he states that he was inspired by the film mainly by George Lucas, Tsui Hark, James Cameron, and both Black/urban and sci-fi cinema. The Tall Man (stands 6"3 tall) is ready let his creative spirit soar.
Unique traits: Huge fan of superhero/comic book and science fiction films. Avid watcher of superhero/sci-fi fan films since 13 year old. Willing to establish a connection with both local and regional indie film scene (via traveling).
