About Matthew

Matthew Murnan is an Oklahoma-born cinematographer and photographer, now residing in Los Angeles. Matt graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2009 in Fine Arts: Media. At the beginning of his career, he did mostly event, landscape/travel, and portrait photography. After moving to Northern California in 2012, he joined a short film set and realized that the moving picture was for him. Although he still loves photography, composition and shaping light in filmmaking is now his main career. Matt is also skilled in film and photo editing. He has worked behind camera for features and short films, as well as live events, commercials, music videos, product and corporate videos. Matt now resides in Los Angeles, California, working in the industry in the camera department and post production as an editor.
