Sci-fi touchscreen — ccu science department promo | Bryan P. Stalvey

The Science Department of Coastal Carolina University was wanting to get more attention during conferences and meetings for possible investors and other supporters. I thought of producing a creative video as part of the presentation to grab their attention in a looping video and even wanted to do something memorable to cause them to ask questions or become engaged. This is what we I came up with. I shot and lit the majority of the video, mostly the section of the controller (the girl with the touchscreen). I created all graphics, animation, music and edited (or created most) sound effects. I was given some content that was shot or created by others that the department wanted included in the video (such as the time-lapse) and other video (which is completely cut out), and was able to place them into the video through the methods used. The end result was more than successful. This video was used as part of a presentation to raise funding for the Science Department. This video won a Telly Award for creativity in 2014.
