Couch-a-thon festival | Derek Johnson

The Couch-A-Thon Film Extravaganza is an independent Livestream event aimed to collect donations for the Washington film community affected by COVID-19. The COVID-19 virus has closed film festivals worldwide and left hundreds of thousands of filmmakers without work indefinitely. Our mission is to bring the film community together during this time of hardship by offering support, and an outlet to share. Through help from volunteers in our film community, we are able to provide an accessible way to watch independent films that would normally be on the festival circuit. Films and Q&As will be presented from 6-9 pm weekdays starting April 1, with a live calendar posted for clarity. As our film pool grows, so will our screening times. Donations will be accepted via our secure portal through NWFF. The livestream will be available at the computer, mobile, and tablet devices. We recommend using a laptop and HDMI or dongle connection to a television for the best viewing experience. All donations will go to LANGSTON to support the Seattle Artist Relief Fund.
