This is a monologue of the character Caress from a play called Thatcher's Women which was written by actress and writer Kay Adshead. The play is based on the fate of several women who loose their jobs in the 80's job cuts. Lynda who is 17 has to be a prostitute and she convinces Nora and Marge who is in her 30's to go to London and earn some extra money for her family at Christmas. Caress is a young woman who work's in a club in London where Lynda gets a job. Caress is helpful and from the posh side of London.
