"It felt like watching an episode of a sitcom," one employee said. I'll take that as success! Demonstrating technique role plays is already difficult enough, so the need to do so around the country makes it even more so! We could have just recorded this in a room and sent it out, but what's better—we set up a plan for engagement. We produced a video with an edge to entertain and captivate attention. While doing so, the instructions we sent with the video told them to watch for what was done right and wrong in the process—to investigate the scenario—then discuss what they found after watching it as a team. We even provided a special sheet for them to use during their review. There were laughs, learning, and great discussions with overwhelming positive feedback for a different style of training that took interest in the time we used to do so. I co-produced, edited the script, directed, and edited this video.
