Montana Screenwriting & Storycrafting Meetup

About the meetup

This is a monthly gathering in Flathead Valley (Kalispell) MT about the Art and Business of Screenwriting & Storycrafting -- skills, questions, feedback on projects, etc. It is by writers for writers. 

Led and facilitated by script and book author/editor and long-time Hollywood script consultant Barbara Schiffman, the group has been 'sponsored' since 2020 by Authors of the Flathead (a 35 year grassroots organization of writers in Flathead Valley MT - get info on AofF at www.authorsoftheflathead.org).

Each monthly session focuses on a different screenwriting &/or storycrafting topic.There is no charge to attend and you do not need to be a member of Authors of the Flathead.

We meet from 7:00-9:00pm on the 4th Thursday of the month. But we do not meet in November or December due to holiday weeks. In the summer -- April through October -- we meet in person in Kalispell (we currently use the classroom at a business owned by one of the AofF board members). In the winter -- January through March ("when the snow flies" as they say in these parts...) we meet on zoom.

About the group

We are writers, storytellers and media creatives in Flathead Valley, Montana. We provide a bridge between like-minded and collaborative creatives in NW Montana. We believe Montana is indeed "the last best place," and one where independent filmmaking, writing of all types (screenwriting, essays, novels, memoirs and poetry), and creativity has room to blossom in Big Sky Country. Everyone has a story to tell!
