About the group: Holiday Romance Writers: Have you written a holiday romance screenplay or two (or ten) -- or are thinking about one? Or do you want to improve your storytelling skills -- on the page &/or out loud? This is the group for you. 

This group will meet quarterly via zoom and will have discussion topics such as: movie breakdown, first pages, tropes and cliches, conflict, originality, etc. Led by author and screenwriter Rie Anders, each meeting will focus on one topic and is open to change based on participation. 

In addition, we are seeking to host Table Readings (out loud) of finished screenplays by member writers, for feedback and fun! If you have a finished draft that you think is ready for a group read, email Rie at Rie.Anders@yahoo.com to submit it for consideration (pre-selection is required - this is not an "open read" opportunity).

All levels of screenwriters -- plus novelists, short story writers, poets, writers of non-fiction or memoirs -- are welcome! Keep writing!

About the meetup: This is the first meeting of the group. We will focus on introductions, and what we are all working on. This will be a great opportunity to learn what we hope to achieve in our group.

Do you write Christmas romances? Winter-themed romances? Holiday romances? This group will meet monthly to review pages, talk conflict and brainstorm for originality. We will check the boxes for Christmas tree decorating, gift-wrapping, caroling, ice skating. Bonus points for a town Christmas party!
