I'm excited to see you all this coming Monday night August 29th for "The Art of Active Networking" in New York city!
I miss so many of my friends in New York since leaving suddenly last year. Gretchen's death has had a profound impact on every aspect of my life, and I am just now starting to really come out of it as I continue to sort our my new life without her in it.
A special thank you to those of you who kept hounding me to get back to NYC more often and who constantly check in on me. It really has helped me survive.
I finally found a new venue for our events, and we're all set to go! We'll be at Ripley-Grier Studios on midtown in Studio 17B at 6:30pm sharp on this coming Monday, August 29th!

We are a groups of artists, film makers, designers, musicians, bankers, health professionals, attorneys, business leaders and others from the Startup, Entrepreneur and Founder community! This is a group dedicated to helping each of it's members do better. While we are not exclusively for the entertainment business, we have thousands of members worldwide who are members because Mark E. Sackett our founder is a Designer, Director, Producer and Art Director for Film, Music, Television and Advertising. We beleive that by helping others we grow powerful and sustainable relationships. Mark knows that we work with those we know, like and trust, yet this business is about long casting lines, sending endless headshots and using our fingers crossed mentality to connect for an opportunity. But having powerful relationships is so much more critical to success.
We do these events monthly in New York, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Pasadena, 4 to 6 times a year in Vancouver, Kansas City and select other cities as we are invited.

Tickets are 20$ online and 30$ cash as the door. This charge is only to cover venue and overhead costs and the events are between 35-135 people maximum! Mark makes sure you meet every person in the room and personally attends all events to ensure that!

MY FAVORITE HOBBY IS MEETING PEOPLE AND USING MY NETWORK TO HELP THEM EASE THEIR STRUGGLES IN SOME SMALL WAY! I enjoy help people to do better in life by inspiring them and connecting them to powerful people and collaborative opportunities. I love to engage them towards practicing #MYGIVE4 knowing that in giving to others we get our greatest returns personally, professionally and financially. Daily I am asked a load of questions about the events like these. The most common questions are: How can you teach me to network better? Why should I come? What will I get out of it? That 3rd question is my favorite because it is my first opportunity to show how giving to other allows you to get more in return! This is not a networking class, but if you practice what I speak about and do myself, you will learn more than in any class. You should come because you are struggling with something and we might be able to help. At the very, very least you will get to meet some cool, smart, kind people who get it.
