I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. I now live in Atlanta, Georgia. I will keep this bio centered around filmmaking. I didn't get the bug actually until sometime in the Spring of 2014. I hadn't taken a class, I hadn't owned a camera, I knew absolutely nothing about the business! That didn't stop me from thinking I could do it however. Blame it on Pharrell Williams! His music video for "Happy" looked so simplistic and low-budget I figured I could replicate that easy. And it actually was! I purchased a consumer camcorder and later that summer during DragonCon, I gathered up some friends, new and old, all cosplayers, and did my own version of that video! It turned out pretty good too. Thanks to a little editing program called Adobe Premiere Pro! I love that editing program. I kept hearing how it was difficult to learn but I had no problems navigating it from the jump. The following month I produced a second music video and I started to learn a few things after viewing the finished product. Stuff about lighting especially. It wasn't until the Christmas project that I decided that I had to learn this craft more. It was yet another music video but it turned out very very badly. I spent the first 7 months of 2015 reading and buying the necessary equipment I would need if I was going to take this seriously! This past DragonCon was my re-coming out party and while shoots went fairly well, there was still a lot I needed to learn as I had discovered. I have since realized that you never stop learning to improve and get better at what you've done in the past. This is what excites me about filmmaking. It's an ever-changing landscape in which to showcase one's art. I've joined this site in the hopes to network and learn from other industry professionals so that I may always get better at what I do and maybe get to the point where I can produce that feature film I long desire to do.
