About Omar

Omar Portilla is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, with nearly eight years of military service and three combat tours to Iraq. Omar got into film through acting, he attended Rosa L. Parks H.S. of Fine and Performing Arts, and was a Theatre major. After leaving the military he attended Montclair State University for his B.F.A. in Filmmaking. In 2012 Omar started 3YRS2Life Production. Omar’s concentrations are Director and Director of Photography. This past summer Omar directed the feature documentary Defining Challenge, which is currently in festivals. Also this summer Omar was Director of Photography for the feature film The Depths which starts Michael Rispoli and directed by Jamison Locascio. Currently working on pre-production for a feature film shooting in 2016. Omar is a freelancer filmmaker in the Greater New York City area.

His crew of Mark, John and Lisa quickly regret the decision to help. Rather than listening to the advice and experience of his crew, Guy decides take control of the film completely, and his crew is left watching the disaster that will be Guy's film.
