I'm from Evansville, Indiana and I moved to Tennessee when I was 8. Me and my family moved to Sevierville. Ten years or so later I realized, by discovering early 90s/late 80s indie film, that I wanted to be a director. I kind of sat on this idea as nothing more then aspirations since I lived in a small town that had nothing to offer someone of creative ambition. Then I discovered Knoxville, it was very different then Sevierville, it had culture. It had art. It had a soul. Most importantly, it had a film culture. Fast forward a few more years, after some editing experience and writing, I entered the 2012 54 Hour Film Fest and made my first completed short film "Cyclical". I wrote and directed it, as well as acting a small role. I have also done a series on Blip.TV (now Maker Studios) called "Blurbs", which was a comedy series that was shot as if it were a vlog. It's still difficult to find work, especially if you're like me and trying to just get your own film made, with no . . . well, anything besides spirit, talent, and able bodies. Right now I'm going to start writing a PMC war drama, to sell to a company interested in my writing and hopefully to fund my first film. If you want to know anything about me feel free to ask me.
Forever Optimistic,
Owen.
