Instant 3D Avatar Technology enables Personalized Media

Hello everyone. My company has launched a Kickstarter campaign for the creation of a consumers 3D Avatar animation editor. However, this Kickstarter is also the first public exposure to a somewhat heady concept we've been developing for several years now: Personalized Media. Personalized Media is traditional mass media with a new twist: it incorporates the identity and reality of the consumer right in the mass produced media itself, enabling a blurring of the lines between your life and the desirable fantasy lives conveyed by our slickly produced traditional media. This is heady stuff, as it enables one to turn several forms of traditional media upside-down: advertising, political campaigns and charities can include the consumers themselves in a brief depiction of the benefit of using their product and/or supporting their issues side-by-side with celebrity spokespeople; feature film trailers and music artist's videos can include fans in the story with the stars and the band; and interactive media such as video games and apps can blur the lines of reality by allowing consumers to insert themselves, their family and friends, and potentially more importantly the people they do not like into the interactive universe of their software entertainment. It's described better, and with a nicely produced video at our Kickstarter page: http://kck.st/10Pn4pQ Check it out and let me know what you think here. If you like what you learn enough, maybe even become a backer. But that is not the point of this post here. I'd like to discuss what Personalized Media is, and the never before possible powerful ramifications of our technology.
