Introduce Yourself : Writer, Director, Producer, Editor, Filmmaker/ Videographer, SAG-AFTRA Actress, Dancer&Choreographer... I swear by Andrea DelBene

Hello fellow filmmakers! I’m a filmmaker who wears a few hats. I studied Film and Production at Hofstra University (graduated 2013) where I had the privilege of shooting and editing on actual film. In my time there I wrote, directed, produced, shot, DP’ed, cast and edited 9 of my own short films solo and collaborated on dozens of other shoots. I’ve had a few internships, including script reader for Killer Films. In school, two of my films received festival recognition and awards- at the GIAA Film Festival and Palm Springs Int. Shortfest. Writing and directing are my areas of focus, although I shoot and edit frequently as a freelance videographer. In my free time, I am writing a feature thriller with female leads and it is awesome. Before finishing school, I had Co-Produced a feature film/ musical comedy starring Eve Plumb called The Sisters Plotz. I had a small acting role in this, and also was an additional camera and dance choreographer. The acting role got me into SAG-AFTRA. I have acting experience and training also, and have spent my entire life as a competitive dancer on (believe it or not), two national champion dance teams before getting involved in film, so now I am also seeking dance roles within the union to pay bills as I write my feature. I’m also developing two sitcoms and two shorts, one of which will be animated. I’ve handled every aspect of production from sound editing (not my favorite) & recording, to cinematography and editing. Filmmaking is my passion and I am proud to say that I am very well rounded.
